I went to school in garland while living with my grandmother during the years 1974 to 1979. My best friend's name was Kenneth Oliver; my girlfriend's name was Brenda Norris. Just was wondering what became of everybody.

What a wonderful time I had growing up in Garland and having such great friends, classmates, and teachers at GHS. I have some of the fondest memories of that time and wouldn't trade those days for anything. As a Freshman I was the starting left fielder for our baseball team and remember with detail and clarity that 14 inning baseball masterpiece. Larry Smith and E.V. Spell from Clement were "machines" that night, both were absolutely masterful. Each team played splendid defense, when we had the opportunity to do so! It was a hearbreaking moment when Clement finally scored in the bottom of the 14th at 12:30 AM winning 1-0. I'm proud to have been a part of that history making game, and prouder still of being a team mate with so many terrific ball players and friends. Go Bulldogs!

Greetings!
Good to see and hear from everyone! It has been too long!!!!
I see all the activity on this website and wondered about the happenings on October 2nd & 3rd? Did you know there was an All School Reunion the next weekend, October 9th at Union High School from 11AM until?
My life has had some pretty dramatic changes since high school. I have 3 beautiful children, 2 grandchildren, and 2 twin boy grandchildren on the way! Kenneth, my boyfriend from high school, became my companion for what I planned to be life, but was not to be. He was killed in a gun accident on March 30, 2008 so I am basically on my own. Work, children, and grandchildren are my biggest priorities. I am the Administrator of Bladen Healthcare, LLC Practices for Cape Fear Valley in Elizabethtown, NC where Dr. Robert L. Rich, Jr. is the Medical Director! "Who'd thunk it??????"
Please let me know and I look forward to continue communication. Note the e-mail address used for me is my work address so if you respond to this one I hopefully, by then, will have it redirected to home. The office is having a computer upgrade in 35 minutes and my home e-mail is temporarily out of service. I hope to have this corrected this weekend.
