ClassicSchools.com is dedicated to keeping the memory of closed high schools alive. This blog is used by us to keep track of notes we gather during our research. You are encouraged to add your comments. Most of our research is done online, but the most valuable information we gather comes from alumni like you. (Please note that the comments are moderated, so they won’t show up right away. We frequently check the comments and approve/disapprove them. You wouldn’t believe how much spam is posted as comments on a blog.) Also, please keep your comments “family friendly”.
For most closed high schools, we can find very little information. When we can find enough info about a particular school, we create a separate page on ClassicSchools.com just for that school. But we frequently cannot even find out the mascot and school colors. If your high school has been closed, please take a few seconds to fill out the Submit Your School form on our website. Don’t worry, it’s not a trick to gather email addresses. The form is our most successful method for adding schools to our site.
If you would like to write a Guest Post about your school, please do. We will post it on this blog, and possibly create a page from it on ClassicSchools.com.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to email me at email@example.com.
