| Hartford City High School closed in 1969 when Montpelier and Hartford City were merged into Blackford High School.
We believe the photos on the left are the two buildings which housed Hartford City High School. The one on top, called the North Building, was built in 1891, but burned twice and was replaced by the one on the bottom in 1934(?). If anyone has more info on these buildings, please email us. [Update from astute visitor Nick Rhodes: "The building in the bottom picture was re-opened in 1904 after re-construction of the second fire that I believe occurred in 1897."] |
