Forman High School was created when several smaller area schools merged with Manito High School, which was housed in the same building. The school existed for 41 years until another consolidation closed Forman High School and created Midwest Central High School.
The old Forman High School building now houses apartments and The Forman Center, "Your Community Gathering Place", which is operated by the Forman Park District.
